SUMMARY:WALKING RUGBY
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday 4th March\, ahead of Portsmouth 2nds v Fareham Heathens at Rugby Camp\, John Vaughan and Paul Jenkins are going to hold a Walking Rugby session for anyone interested. This is a fast-growing sport and they intend to hold regular sessions in the future. \nThe session will take place on an available pitch at the club beginning at 1pm for approximately half an hour. \nIf you would like to participate\, please message John Vaughan on 07881 383 387 and turn up suitably attired on the day. \nWHAT IS IT? \nWalking Rugby is one of England Rugby’s non-contact formats of the game. There is no tackling involved\, instead a touch on the armpit or below are used. Played on a half pitch\, participants must be walking at all times.  \nWHO CAN PLAY?​ \nWalking Rugby can be played by everyone men and women; however\, it is generally played by older players (55+). All skill levels can play together.   ​ \nWHAT TO EXPECT?​ \nA welcoming\, laid back\, social environment is the core experience of all Walking Rugby sessions. Players should arrive dressed for the playing conditions and introduce themselves to John and Paul when they arrive. Each session is unique so be sure check-in with John prior to joining.​ \n  \n  \n
