With injuries and players being called up to the 1st XV including talismanic hooker John Nichols there were a few last minute changes to what was a very strong side that was eager to build on the previous three league games and turn out a performance -

Such is the strength and depth of the senior squad at rugby camp at the moment with players returning from injury the fight for places is as fierce as ever leaving the coaches with some real selection headaches and some tough decisions had to be made.

As a strong Portsmouth side descended on our old foes from down the road we were in buoyant mood with a strong pack and a youthful backline. The side welcomed back Jason Crabb an experienced 1st xv player and Ollie Ansell back from a hand injury.
